Swine Flu
Moffitt is keenly aware and closely following the pandemic flu activity. The Cancer Center is implementing cough etiquette/respiratory hygiene protocol as recommended by CDC.
This includes:
1) Covering coughs/sneezes with a tissue or crook of arm
2) Recommending masks for patients and essential visitors with signs of respiratory illness
3) Requesting that ill persons refrain from visiting the Cancer Center
4) Recommending frequent hand hygiene
Things you can do to remain healthy include:
1) Performing frequent hand hygiene throughout the day
2) Avoiding close contact with persons with respiratory illness
3) Following all of your doctor’s recommendations and calling your doctor with any questions or symptoms of flu such as aches, fever, cough, sore throat and headache
