Chemotherapy may be used as a primary treatment for metastatic sarcoma (where the cancer has spread to other areas), or in combination with surgery or radiation. Treating soft-tissue sarcomas usually requires a combination of two or more therapeutic agents.
Moffitt’s Sarcoma Program uniquely treats patients based on their histologic subtypes, genetic characteristics, and age. This is a unique and personalized approach specific to the goals of our Cancer Center and our program.
