Living with cancer poses many challenges for patients and families. Professionally led support groups can provide a safe and affirming environment in which to learn alternative methods of coping, obtain information about cancer and its treatment, gain problem-solving skills, practice communication and alleviate feelings of isolation. Several support groups are offered at Moffitt Cancer Center. A listing of these is available here. Blood & Marrow Transplant Caregivers’ Support Group
Support group for caregivers of blood & marrow transplant patients. Meets every Wednesday, 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the 4West Conference Room. Call the Social Work Office 813-745-8407 for more information.
Breast and GYN Cancer Support Group
Support group for women with breast or gynecologic cancers. Meets for seven - eight weekly sessions throughout the year on Mondays, 10 – 11 a.m., in the 5th floor lounge of the hospital. Call the Social Work Office 813-745-8407 for more information about when sessions are offered.
Brain Tumor Support Group
Support group for patients with primary and metastatic brain tumors and their families, friends and caregivers. Meets the first Saturday of each month, 10-11 a.m., Psychosocial Clinic, 1st floor, Moffitt Research Center. Call the Social Work Office 813-745-8407 for more information.
Cancer Support Group

Look Good - Feel Better
Consultation with beauty specialists (wigs, make-up) for women treated for cancer, 2nd Tuesday of every month, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Must contact American Cancer Society at 813-254-3630 to register.
Meet Up for Young Adults with Cancer
