Overview
At Moffitt, we offer our dedicated support and cooperation to our fellow medical professionals. It is our intent to keep communication channels open by apprising referring physicians of their patients' condition at crucial steps. We will make every effort to provide the information and services requested and to return patients to their referring physicians for continued care.
Referring Physicians
We consider it a great privilege that you have entrusted us with your patients. Moffitt faculty and staff members will do all we can to assure you and your patients that the right choice was made with the Moffitt Cancer Center.
The medical staff at Moffitt Cancer Center is available for consultations, second opinions, treatment management and follow-up for your patients. As a major oncology center of excellence, Moffitt physicians work in partnership with you, the referring physician, to develop a plan that is best suited for your patient.

Managed Care Department
Moffitt Cancer Center plays a proactive role in helping patients to receive quality cancer care at the institution of their choice. Moffitt works with an extensive national network of insurance and managed care organizations to provide care to patients. Moffitt's New Patient Appointment Center, 813-745-3980, and Cancer Answers, 888-663-3488, are both up to date on the managed care plans for which the Cancer Center is a participating provider.

Affiliates

These affiliations are strategically selected according to geographic location, quality of cancer care and cancer incidence. These affiliations actively support medical education, quality improvement & research initiatives. |

Membership is offered to physicians whose clinical practice is at least 50% oncology or who have demonstrated an active interest in oncology. Benefits of Moffitt Affiliate membership include regular communication about Moffitt educational conferences & other activities. |

Affiliate members receive the quarterly Affiliate Newsletter, which provides up-to-date information about new developments, research, clinical trials and other areas of interest. |
