Dr. Philippe Spiess is a genitourinary oncologist at Moffitt Cancer Center and an assistant professor of oncology and urology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Spiess’ research interests include novel therapies for advanced renal and prostate cancer. He is widely published and has authored several books and book chapters on urologic cancers. In addition, he is a reviewer for numerous professional journals, including the International Journal of Urology and serves on the editorial board of the International Brazilian Journal of Urology. Dr. Spiess is also a reviewer for the American Urological Association Prostate and Bladder Cancer webinars.
A native of Canada, Dr. Spiess received a master’s in experimental urology surgery at McGill University in Montreal and a medical degree from the University of Toronto. He completed a urology residency at McGill University and a urologic oncology fellowship at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. Spiess is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Canada and a member of the Société Internationale d'Urologie. He is fluent in English and French.
