Accreditation and Credit Designation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the University of South Florida College of Medicine and Moffitt Cancer Center. The University of South Florida College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of South Florida College of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 4 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Instructions for CME Participation

Every Cancer Control Journal issue contains a CME section.

To receive complimentary credit, please follow these instructions:

  1. Read the articles and then answer the posttest questions. Successfully answering 15 or more questions will earn 4 credit hours.*
  2. Press the "Send Request" icon at the end of the posttest form to submit your answers. There will be a fee of $15.00 for the CME credits per issue. Once you submit your completed posttest, your answers will be graded immediately. If you sucessfully past the test (minimum grade of 75%), you will be provided a Certificate Registration/Payment button to proceed to the USF CME Office online payment website. After providing the requested information, completing the evaluation section, and selecting your payment option (credit card or check), your certificate for the appropriate number of credits will be mailed to you from the University of South Florida in approximately 6-8 weeks, once payment is received.

    Disclosure Policy

    As a sponsor accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the University of South Florida College of Medicine must insure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in all its individually sponsored or jointly sponsored educational activities. Faculty participating in a sponsored activity are expected to disclose to the activity audience any significant financial interest or other relationship (1) with the manufacturer(s) of any commercial product(s) and (2) with any commercial supporters of the activity. (Significant financial interest or other relationship can include such things as grants or research support, employee, consultant, major stock holder, member of speaker's bureau, etc.). The intent of this disclosure is not to prevent a speaker with a significant financial or other relationship from making a presentation, but rather to provide listeners with information on which they can make their own judgments. It remains for the audience to determine whether the speaker's interests or relationships may influence the presentation with regard to exposition or conclusion.
