Internet Sites for the Physician
The rapid development of the Internet, the most important phenomenon of our generation,
has left some people feeling overwhelmed by its enormity and arcane complexity. Are you
unfamiliar with the Internet and what it has to offer? Do you believe it does not provide
accurate or pertinent information on oncology-related topics? Have you given up on
complicated searches for relevant sites that can enhance your medical knowledge?
For those of you who are not familiar with the Internet -- and for those of you who are
seasoned users but find you dont have the time to search in the overload of
information now available -- listed below are just a few examples of the many health- or
oncology-related URLs (ie, addresses) on the worlds largest computer network, the
Internet. Sites have been developed by the government, educational institutions,
commercial businesses, etc, and most have links to other related sites.
URLs change frequently, so some of these addresses may have been altered. Also, new
sites are added continually, and information is updated often.
