About the art in this issue:
Monique Gueudet-Bornstein was born in Paris and settled in Villefrance Sur Mer in 1985. In 1994, she opened her
workshop-gallery above the vault decorated by Jean Cocteau. Monique is inspired by the sea and incorporates the strong colors associated with
heat and sunlight into her artwork. Another strong inspiration is her love of jazz. She has met and painted numerous famous jazz musicians,
and some of these paintings are featured in this issue. Her work has been exhibited on the French Riviera and also in Paris, Belgium, and Italy
and is part of the permanent collection in the Gallery Chapelle Cocteau in Villefrance Sur Mer. The gallery is located at 26 Avenue
Saint-Estéve, 06230 Villefrance Sur Mer in France. Telephone: +33 (0)4 93 76 7759. Fax: +33 (0)4 93 76 6996. E-mail: Monique.bornstein@free.fr. Web site: www.moniquebornstein.com.
