Case Description:
A 45-year-old woman presented with a suspicious 1.6-cm mass on
mammogram and ultrasound. An infiltrating lobular cancer and a positive sentinel lymph
node were found at surgery. Subsequent axillary dissection revealed 15 additional negative
lymph nodes. The staging abdominal computed tomography (CT) scan is shown in Fig 1.
The CT image of the liver shows:
1. peripheral enhancement of necrotic liver metastasis
2. findings suggestive of a cavernous hemangioma
3. a coincidental hepatoma
4. a benign hepatic cyst
