Overview

Where You Are:

Welcome! ICARE is a registry-based research study at the Moffitt Cancer Center and represents a clinical-research-community partnership among medical practitioners, researchers and members of the general population. The common goal of our efforts is to improve the lives of patients and families at risk for inherited cancer susceptibility.

The ICARE Registry is made up of individuals who are at high risk for developing hereditary cancer. By increasing awareness of this registry, we hope to identify individuals who are interested in participating in this research and possibly future studies that investigate the relationship between genetics and cancer risk, as well as health outcomes research. Ultimately, these studies seek to understand important features of familial cancer, including prevention, screening and treatment. Through ICARE, we hope to contribute to collaborative multi-institutional studies of BRCA mutation carriers.

ICARE was launched in June 2010. We appreciate the efforts of those who have taken the time to participate in the registry, and we encourage others who are interested in participating to explore our website.

If inherited breast, ovarian, or colon cancer has affected you or a family member, we encourage you to explore this site. On our website, you can learn more about ICARE and the services we offer, as well as how to join our registry. We hope you find this site and the information provided useful. If you would like to contact us directly, the information for doing so is located under the Contact Us link.
