The Grand Chapter of the Florida Order of the Eastern Star, Inc Presents $17,915 Check to Moffitt

Tampa, FL (April 23, 2001) – On March 20, the Grand Chapter of the Florida Order of the Eastern
Star, Inc. presented a check in the amount of $17,915 to the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & 
Research Institute to support cancer research.

The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world which both men
and women may belong. Their organization is comprised of freemasons who believe in truth,
friendship, morality, and brotherly love. They work tirelessly for community service and charity
to raise funds for many worthy
causes.

In 2001, the National Cancer Institute awarded Moffitt
the status of a Comprehensive Cancer Center in recognition of its excellence
in research and contributions to clinical trials, prevention and cancer control.
Additionally, Moffitt is a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network,
a prestigious alliance of the country's leading cancer centers, and is listed
in the U.S. News & World Report as one of the top cancer hospitals in America. Moffitt’s
sole mission is to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer.
