Overview
The opportunities available are to through the Research Training/Education Core of the University of South Florida / Moffitt Cancer Health Disparities Center, which is a federally funded by the National Institutes of Health - National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities. The Center is a joint partnership between the University of South Florida and the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute. The newly formed Center will conduct studies and promote activities to reduce cancer health disparities among minority and underserved communities in the state of Florida.
The overall goal of the Research Training/Education Core (RTEC) of USF-Moffitt USF / Moffitt Cancer Health Disparities Center is to develop a cadre of competent, well-trained minority researchers and healthcare professionals who will be prepared to effectively address cancer disparity in the state of Florida and around the United States of America through transdisciplinary research. The target population for the RTEC activities will be students in the entire continuum of their education (undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, post-doctoral), as well as junior, senior faculty and community partners/members.
