Hematopathology Fellowship Training Program
The Hematopathology Fellowship training program at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute (MCC) at the University of South Florida provides an ACGME-accredited ,comprehensive, academically oriented, hands-on fellowship training experience in all aspects of hematopathology. Upon completion of the program, the fellow should be able to integrate morphology, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, cytogenetics and molecular genetics findings from blood, bone marrow, lymph node, spleen and various extra-nodal hematologic disorders for a multiparameter diagnosis. Very active adult and pediatric hematology/oncology, coagulation and bone marrow transplantation services for lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplasia, and acute leukemia at Moffitt Cancer Center, All Children’s Hospital, and James A. Haley VA Medical Center provide a multidisciplinary variety of clinical materials. The first-year program is a competency-based training that complies with the ACGME requirements. In addition, the fellowship is offering an additional research-oriented second-year fellowship experience.
