Radiation Oncology Program

Moffitt's accredited Radiation Oncology Program consists of expert radiation oncologists, nursing specialists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists and supportive care professionals.

IGRT (Image Guided Radiation Therapy)

IGRT, or image guided radiation therapy, is a technique in which frequent imaging is used to enhance accuracy throughout the course of a patient’s radiation treatment.

SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy)

SBRT, or stereotactic body radiation therapy, is a technique in which a carefully programmed system of coordinates is used to deliver narrowly focused, high-dose radiation beams to a solid tumor.
