Joanna Weiss

Joanna Weiss is the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Moffitt Cancer Center. She oversees all facets of the financial operations including accounting, payroll/tax, research finance, financial analysis and forecasting, capital and debt, supply chain, payer strategies and revenue cycle.   

Weiss joined Moffitt in 2006 as director of Internal Audit, developing the department while managing and coordinating Moffitt’s financial statement audit. She has held numerous leadership positions at Moffitt, including vice president of Revenue Cycle management, vice president of Finance and most recently senior vice president of Finance. 

Previously, Weiss worked as an internal control manager for PSCU Financial Services and as an auditor with Ernst & Young LLP (now EY). She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Auburn University and a master’s degree in health administration from Florida Atlantic University. She is a certified public accountant licensed in Florida and Georgia.
