OVERVIEW

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) has recently approved Moffitt Cancer Center to have an independent Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship program to start the academic year 2025-2026. For many years, under the accreditation of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and ACGME, Moffitt Cancer Center was a co-sponsor site under the University of South Florida along with the USF faculty at Tampa General Hospital (TGH). Going forward, and with GME accreditation still within USF, Moffitt will run its independent fellowship program allowing it to align its education to its unique and exceptionally high volume of complex cancer cases and large number of expert faculty.

Moffitt Cancer Center is an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with a three-year Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship program. Our mission is to train the next generation of academically focused gynecologic oncologists. Because we are one of the top tertiary and academic cancer centers in the country, our program is unmatched in the number of exenterative and other complex surgeries; basic, translational and clinical research; and the comprehensive therapeutic and molecular management of gynecologic malignancies.
