23MA006 CAR-T: Anti-TYRP1 CAR-T for Melanoma

Novel CAR T constructs targeting TYRP1 with either traditional 41BB/CD3z or novel NK based intracellular domain have been developed at Moffitt . TYRP1 is highly expressed in melanoma, and targeting this gene can offer novel ways of treating this cancer. Using the NK intracellular domain increases the persistence of these CAR T cells. Our novel anti TYRP1 scFv demonstrates superior killing and anti tumor efficacy. 20 such novel scFv have been developed thus far, and pre clinical testing is underway. We believe that this unique approach of targeting melanoma with CAR T cells can greatly augment and improve the current standard of care for melanoma patients worldwide.
