Florida's only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center
Once again, Moffitt is awarded National Cancer Institute's highest designation.
Since 2001, Moffitt Cancer Center has been the state’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. And this year we received our highest score ever. It’s a tribute to a team that helps more people survive cancer than any other Florida cancer center. Giving our patients the hope they need to fuel their courage.
Why choose an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center?
NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers are recognized for their scientific excellence. They bring together the best scientists and physicians to advance research and patient care. They are a major source of discovery and development of more effective approaches to cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment. This allows us to provide the most advanced treatments including access to a wide range of cutting-edge clinical trials.
As one of only 54 recognized "Comprehensive" Cancer Centers in the U.S., Moffitt has demonstrated strengths across all areas of cancer research and has substantial education, training and community outreach activities that address health disparities.
A referral is never required to schedule an appointment at Moffitt. To learn more about the cancers we treat, the services we offer or the oncologists who comprise our experienced team, call 1-888-663-3488 or submit a new patient registration form online.
