Moffitt Cancer Center’s Gastroenterology Program performs today’s most advanced endoscopic procedures for gastrointestinal conditions, including cancerous and noncancerous diagnoses. At Moffitt, we perform endoscopic procedures for:

Using highly precise, minimally invasive techniques, Moffitt’s gastroenterologists are able to accomplish the following:
- Remove cancerous cells, inflamed tissues, pre-cancerous polyps or diseased sections of the digestive tract
- Conduct digital Spyglass© cholangioscopies and endoscopic submucosal dissections (ESD)
- Evaluate abnormal tissue in the gastrointestinal tract and differentiate types of pancreatic cysts with Cellvizio® optical biopsies
- Destroy abnormal tissues through cryotherapy and radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
- Place a gallbladder drainage stent
- Remove bile duct stones
- Place small markers in or near a tumor to guide radiation therapy
- Stage gastrointestinal cancers
- Correct a failed previous bile duct cannulation
