Meet Bridget

Breast Cancer Thriver

"It's very important for every woman to get a mammogram."

Bridget's mom worked at a cancer center so screenings were always a top priority in her family. Bridget made sure to not only schedule her yearly mammograms but also perform routine breast self-exams. "Everyone should know their body," she says.

After an abnormal mammogram detected breast cancer, she chose to travel from her home in Palmetto to Moffitt Cancer Center for treatment. Bridget credits the care she received from her "phenomenal" team and strength she found from her faith to push forward.

Now a breast cancer "thriver," Bridget is a champion for women's health, raising awareness about the importance of early detection. "A mammogram is what saved my life."
