Marvin, Mantle Cell Lymphoma Patient

Meet Marvin

Mantle Cell Lymphoma Patient

"I've received expert care by people who really know what the heck they're doing. "

Marvin was treated for mantle cell lymphoma, an aggressive rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, in 2013. When he later moved to Florida he wanted to find an experienced oncologist even though he was in remission.

"There really are not that many oncologists who have that much experience treating [mantle cell lymphoma], so finding a specialist who's truly competent in treating this form of lymphoma is critical to your future outcome."

His research brought him to Moffitt and during his first appointment, Marvin discovered he had in fact relapsed and treatment started right away.

Even with a new diagnosis, Marvin felt a sense of calm knowing he was in the right place. "I've just felt like I've been in great hands ever since I began seeing Dr. Shah and other staff members," he says, "I've received expert care by people who really know what the heck they're doing."
