About the Moffitt Foundation
Together with our donors we transform cancer research into leading-edge treatments and exceptional care.
What is the Foundation?
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute Foundation was founded in 1994 to support Moffitt’s cancer research, patient care and education initiatives. Since then, we work to fund pioneer breakthroughs for the future that promise greater progress in saving lives and reducing cancer to a highly treatable illness.
The Foundation continues to grow and transform significantly. Today, we are the philanthropic center of Moffitt, serving a donor community of more than 30,000 individuals, organizations, and companies that have embraced and invested in Moffitt’s mission: to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer. Because of the generosity of our donors, countless patients can now call themselves cancer survivors.
We understand that your gifts to the Foundation are important investments. Your philanthropy ensures our patients, families, and clinicians are given the tools they need for new treatments, educational fellowships, survivorship programs and cutting-edge research. Best of all, your gifts drive scientific innovation and discovery that gives renewed hope to cancer patients.
Cancer touches all of us, regardless of ethnicity, age, gender or economic status. But this disease also unites us and brings people from all walks of life together as we work toward finding a cure. We’re all in this fight together, and we’d be honored to have your help.
