    Study Title:

    Emshape Engaging Mobile Health for Symptom Monitoring and Health Promotion for Black Women on Endocrine Therapy for Breast Cancer.

    Summary:

    The purpose of the study is to develop and test ways of collecting information about symptoms related to hormone therapy for breast cancer.

    Objective:

    Aim 1: To develop a prototype of the EmSHAPE intervention leveraging feedback from Black women with HR+ breast cancer. Aim 2: To refine and finalize the EmSHAPE protocol and mHealth platform Aim 3: To test feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy of the EmSHAPE intervention via a pilot randomized clinical trial

  • Inclusion Criteria

    • Identify as a Black woman
    • Be age 18 or older
    • Have a diagnosis of Stage 0-III HR+ breast cancer receiving treatment with ET
    • Have no documented or observable psychiatric or neurological disorder that would interfere with study participation (e.g., schizophrenia)
    • Be able to speak and read English
    • Be able to provide informed consent
    • Have internet access
    • Must have completed primary breast cancer treatment and have taken ET for at least 1 month but not more than 4 months
