Joanna Weiss

Joanna Weiss is the Senior Vice President of Finance at Moffitt Cancer Center. In this role, she is responsible for accounting, financial planning and analysis, research finance, revenue cycle, supply chain, capital markets, debt, and tax.

Weiss joined Moffitt in 2006 as internal audit director, developing the department while managing and coordinating Moffitt’s financial statement audit. She was promoted to the VP, Revenue Cycle, where she spent four years improving efficiencies and driving down costs while continuing to improve the department’s overall performance. During the past four years, the finance departments have implemented forecasting, continued to drive efficiencies and worked to improve financial transparency throughout the organization.

Previously, Weiss worked as an internal control manager for PSCU Financial Services and as an auditor with Ernst & Young, LLP, (now EY) both in Florida. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Auburn University and a master's degree from Florida Atlantic University in Health Administration. She is a certified public accountant.
