The Head and Neck-Endocrine Oncology Program joined in an engaging conversation exploring the latest research in cancer treatment. Led by Assistant Members Dr. Caitlin McMullen and Dr. Kedar Kirtane, the webinar included topics on new treatment strategies, surgical research and the most recent clinical trials.

Dr. Krupal Patel provided an overview of head and neck-endocrine reconstructive surgical procedures and the goals and challenges that arise in treating these complex structures. His data included the translational research conducted for patient outcomes before, during and after treatment.

Dr. Sarimar Agosto shared updates on thyroid cancer management. Uniquely specialized in oncologic endocrinology, Dr. Agosto included treatment alternatives for metastatic thyroid tumors and patient responses who have undergone these therapies.

Clinical Research Medical Director Dr. Muzaffer presented accrual clinical trials available for HPV-positive patients with early-stage to metastatic cancer.

The panelists concluded the discussion with a live Q&A providing an opportunity for viewers to engage with Moffitt’s expert head and neck-endocrine oncologists.
