How long does it take for a matching gift to be processed?
Once your gift to Moffitt has been processed in our system, then we can confirm your matching gift request with your company. Once gifts are confirmed, payment times can vary by company.
I need Moffitt Cancer Center’s tax ID number (EIN) and/or W-9 letter to apply for a matching gift.
The Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation’s Tax ID number (EIN) is 59-3238636. Please contact MatchingGifts@Moffitt.org or (813) 745-1403 to obtain Moffitt Cancer Center’s W-9 document.
I’m a Miles for Moffitt participant. Will my matching gift be added to my fundraising total?
Yes! Matching gifts are automatically added to the same fundraising page that the original donation was made to. Please allow several weeks after submitting your match request for it to appear on your page.
How can I check the status of my matching gift?
If your company uses an online portal, you can often check the status via your workplace intranet. If that is not an option for you, please contact MatchingGifts@Moffitt.org or (813) 745-1403. Be sure to include your company name, original gift amount, and original gift date in any correspondence to help us best assist you.
Why wasn’t my matching gift approved?
It can take several weeks for matching gifts to be confirmed and for your company to then issue payment. In other cases, your company’s match policies may prohibit approval of the match. Please contact your Corporate Philanthropy Department or Human Resources Office for guidelines with your company’s matching gifts program.
