Hodgkin Lymphoma, Leukemia, Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS), Non-Hodgkin LymphomaDr. Mirza received his MD degree from the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at University of South Florida, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Mirza most recently completed a Hematology/Oncology Clinical Fellowship at Yale University, Smilow Cancer Hospital, New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Mirza’s clinical interests involve optimizing cellular therapies for hematologic malignancies. He is also interested in optimizing immune reconstitution and regulating the immune system to maximize long-term clinical outcomes. Dr. Mirza’s research has been focused on toxicities associated with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies for different types of leukemia and lymphoma. He has been actively involved in both single institutional experiences and multi-institutional registry studies as well as translational studies.
