Danny Hernandez
Deputy General Counsel
Danny Hernandez is Moffitt Cancer Center's deputy general counsel. In this role, he oversees the Office of General Counsel’s day-to-day activities, in addition to handling health care regulatory and compliance matters.
Prior to joining Moffitt Cancer Center, Hernandez served as general counsel to the Florida Department of Health, and most recently he was a partner at the law firm of Shutts & Bowen.
Hernandez has focused his legal career on assisting health care providers and related entities in their dealings and engagements with state and federal regulatory agencies. He is also an experienced litigator and has represented clients in state, federal and administrative proceedings. Hernandez received his law degree from Florida State University and his undergraduate degree from Florida International University.
