    Study Title:

    Assessing the Perspectives of Young Adult Colorectal Cancer Survivors on Colorectal Cancer Awareness, Access to Care, Screening and Early Detection

    Summary:

    The proposed study will use a qualitative approach that entails conducting individual in-depth interviews with young adult (YA) colorectal cancer (CRC) survivors (20 to 44 years) to understand their perspectives on CRC awareness, experience with the healthcare system and preferences for use of digital health tools.

    Objective:

    1. To understand the perceptions of Young Adult (YA) Colorectal Cancer (CRC) survivors about CRC and experience with the healthcare system prior to their diagnosis. 2. To gain insights into the digital delivery platforms (i.e. app based, web-based, social media, etc.) and messaging types that will be preferred for health education on CRC.

  • Inclusion Criteria

      Key Inclusion Criteria:
    • CRC diagnosis Stage I-IV.
    • CRC survivor (at least 6 months post-treatment or on maintenance therapy).
    • 20 to 44 years.
    • No family history of CRC.
    • Able to speak and read English.
  • Exclusion Criteria

      Key Exclusion Criteria:
    • Not meeting all of the inclusion criteria.
