My research interests are cell engineering and cancer immunology. The major focus of my research is to improve adoptive T-cell therapy for solid tumors through the development of the next generation of engineered T-cells and novel clinical cell-based immunotherapeutic strategies. Specifically, I use cutting-edge techniques such as Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR), T-cell Receptor (TCR), and CRISPR engineering to modify and empower T cells to better recognize and target cancer cells in the body. In addition,  I perform studies to investigate and elucidate the underlying molecular mechanisms that contribute to dysregulated T-cell function in the tumor microenvironment, as well as the potential complications associated with adoptive T-cell transfer. By optimizing Tumor-infiltrating Lymphocytes (TIL) therapy, my research aims to develop and deliver more effective and personalized cancer immunotherapies to patients.
