My research focuses on establishing 3D ex-vivo models of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) and Small-cell Lung Cancer (SCLC). These models or microtumors” recapitulate the original tumor closely compared to other 3D cancer models. The goal is to utilize these microtumors to further understand the biology of lung cancer and the role p53 and its related proteins play in the development and progression of these diseases.
