Dr. Allan Lima Pereira is an Associate Member in the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr. Lima Pereira earned his MD degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. He completed his Clinical Oncology Fellowship at Hospital Sírio-Libanês, Brazil. Dr. Lima Pereira earned his PhD degree in Medical Sciences (Oncology Program) from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Dr. Pereira has worked at academic institutions since completing his oncology fellowship. From 2013 to 2017, he worked at the São Paulo Cancer Institute (ICESP). He then completed a fellowship in the Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology Department at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. Dr. Lima Pereira joins us from the Hospital Sírio-Libanês and Hospital de Base do DF, Brazil. Dr. Lima Pereira’s clinical interests are a spectrum of gastrointestinal cancers, including colorectal, pancreatic, gastric, esophageal and hepato-biliary cancers. His research interests are primarily in colorectal and hepatopancreatobiliary tumors, including biomarkers for better treatment selection and developing innovative clinical trials.
