Lung Cancer, Mesothelioma, Pancoast Tumor, ThymomaDr. Lu received his MD degree from Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut. He completed an Internal Medicine Clinical Residency, followed by a Medical Oncology and Hematology Clinical Fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts. He then completed a Cancer Epidemiology Research Fellowship at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Boston. Dr. Lu joins us from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center where he was appointed as a Professor and Associate Medical Director in the Division of Cancer Medicine, Department of Thoracic/Head and Neck Medical Oncology. While at MD Anderson Cancer Center Dr. Lu was Co-Director of the Thoracic/Head and Neck Medical Oncology Seminar Series. He also served as Department Quality Officer and Faculty Mid-Level Provider supervisor. Dr. Lu’s clinical interests are systemic therapies for thoracic malignancies and providing patients with data-driven best standard care treatment or available cutting-edge experimental therapies on clinical trials.
