Overview
Dr. Devi Bharati Yalamanchili is a board-certified physician trained in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine who focuses on helping patients with possible or unexplained cancers receive a clear diagnosis as quickly as possible.
Dr. Yalamanchili works in both the hospital and clinic settings. In the hospital, she cares for patients admitted to the internal medicine and medical hematology services. In the Suspicion of Cancer Clinic, Dr. Yalamanchili sees patients with mesenteric masses, enlarged lymph nodes, low blood counts (cytopenias) involving red blood cells, white blood cells, or platelets, abnormal blood counts with a family history of cancer, abnormal bone marrow findings on imaging, elevated tumor markers, or CT, MRI, ultrasound, or X-ray results that raise concern for possible malignancy. Many patients are referred for evaluation of cancer of unknown primary or unexplained abnormalities that require expert medical investigation.
Dr. Yalamanchili focuses on rapid, thorough diagnostic evaluation of suspected malignancy, coordinating appropriate laboratory testing, imaging, biopsies, and specialist referrals. When cancer is confirmed, Dr. Yalamanchili works closely with oncologists at Moffitt and other specialists in the community to ensure patients are quickly connected to the right care team.
Dr. Yalamanchili serves as Medical Director of the Suspicion of Cancer Clinic and Medical Director of the Medical Hematology (Heme M) Service, helping lead programs designed to streamline evaluation for patients with concerning findings as well as optimizing care for hematology patients admitted to the inpatient ward with acute medical concerns. Beyond her work at Moffitt, Dr. Yalamanchili is dedicated to providing medical care for underserved populations, volunteering both locally and internationally. She serves as Faculty Advisor for the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine student-run Tampa Bay Street Medicine and Care Clinic.
Dr. Yalamanchili has been recognized with the Moffitt Service Award (2025) and the Medical Heroes Award from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine for outstanding contributions to patient care and service.
