Overview
Dr. Jerez-Marte received her MD degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the UVA-Salem Program at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Virginia, where she served as Chief Resident. Prior to joining Moffitt, Dr. Jerez-Marte was a Hospice Hospitalist Program Leader Empath Health, Clearwater, Florida.
Dr. Jerez-Marte’s clinical interests center on community engagement both nationally and internationally. She is passionate about providing care for patients through a holistic approach that integrates physical, spiritual, and psychosocial interventions. Her research interests include the development of shared care pathways, digital tools for smooth transitions back to primary care with integration of artificial intelligence, tele-palliative survivorship programs, immunotherapy-related adverse events in cancer survivors, and social determinants of cancer survivor quality of life.
