Richard Gammon, MD

Dr. Gammon received his MD degree from the Hahnemann University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a Clinical Pathology Residency at The Ohio State University Hospitals, Columbus. Dr. Gammon was the Medical Director for OneBlood, Inc. (2012 – 2024) and an Assistant Professor of Pathology for the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, Orlando, and a Clinical Associate Professor of Pathology at NOVA Southeastern University’s Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine in Davie. Dr. Gammon joins us from Carter BloodCare, Bedford, Texas, where he was Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Gammon’s clinical and research interests include exploring various aspects of patient blood management, including the correct usage of blood and blood components and applying alternate therapies to transfusion when clinically indicated.
