Essential Functions of COE 

Bidirectional Engagement 

• Establishes strategic partnerships with our community and patient advisory boards, community organizations, and key stakeholders to address community needs 

Catchment Area Needs Assessment 

• To characterize Moffitt's catchment area and associated cancer needs and disseminate these findings to Moffitt and community stakeholders 

Catalyze Research  

• Provide infrastructure that supports research and clinical trials that reflect the community's perspectives and priorities 

Community Outreach and Engagement 

• Deliver evidence-based cancer prevention and control strategies to increase Moffitt's reach to meet the needs of the catchment area 

Community-Based Capacity Building 

• Provide training, resources and support to community health care providers and organizations to support cancer-related efforts 

Policy and Advocacy 

• Advance local, state, and national policies to improve the health of our community
