Cancer InFocus is an internal data visualization and mapping platform adapted by Moffitt Cancer Center from software developed by the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center to support research, outreach, and strategic planning. The application allows users to explore geographic patterns in demographic, socioeconomic, and cancer-related data across Florida counties, with census tract-level detail available for counties within Moffitt’s designated catchment area.

Users can map and analyze variables from a range of sources, including the American Community Survey, CDC PLACES, and the Florida Cancer Data System (FCDS). The tool includes tailored features such as visualizing Moffitt’s catchment area, mapping institutional and partner locations, and generating customizable county-level profiles and bivariate analyses. It is designed to facilitate hypothesis generation, identify disparities, and inform research proposals and community.
