The spinal cancer specialists within Moffitt Cancer Center’s Neuro-Oncology Program provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis and treatment services in one convenient location for patients with all types of spinal malignancies. Our multispecialty team includes medical oncologists, neuropsychologists, neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, neuropathologists and other experts who focus exclusively on treating spinal tumors.

Not only do Moffitt patients benefit from our multispecialty approach to treatment, they find assurance in our:

  • Experience – Our spinal cancer specialists have a unique level of experience treating even the rarest forms of spinal cancer, and this expertise can make all the difference when it comes to patient outcomes and quality of life.
  • Tumor board – Every spinal tumor patient at Moffitt is discussed by our multispecialty tumor board, who collaborates to develop and refine individualized treatment plans for each of our patients.
  • Comprehensive treatments – Moffitt’s spinal cancer specialists provide the latest advances in treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, biological response modifiers, surgical procedures and other innovative therapies.
  • Research initiatives and clinical trials – As a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, we excel in discovering cancer treatment breakthroughs. Many of our spinal cancer patients have the opportunity to participate in our robust clinical trial program, where they can receive progressive therapies before they are made available elsewhere.

Patients in Moffitt’s spinal cancer program also have access to a full range of supportive care services in the same location where they receive treatment. Our team includes dietitians, social workers, counselors, physical therapists and nurses who help patients manage negative side effects of treatment and disease.

Complete our new patient registration form or call 1-888-663-3488 to schedule a consultation with one of our spinal cancer specialists. Referrals are not necessary to seek a second opinion or treatment at Moffitt.
