Overview
Study Title:
Development and Implementation of a Standardized 3D-Printing Application to Optimize Routine Individualized Patient-Specific Surgical Care of Hepatobiliary Tumors
Objective:
The goal for Phase 1 will be to develop a structured and collaborative process between Moffitt Cancer Center and the 3D Printing Lab, located at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. The director of the 3D Printing Lab is Dr. Decker (co-investigator). The methodology of 3D printing differs with desired outcome, and certain methods are better suited for recreating certain anatomies. Proper selection of technique and materials is required to create an accurate model specific for clinical use. Thus, it is important to develop and implement a standardized 3D printing workflow within existing multidisciplinary cancer care with an accessible procedural manual. The P3D-LM printing workflow and procedural manual will be established/created during Phase 1. P3D-LM will not be printed during Phase 1, nor will data be collected from participants or electronic medical records (EMR).
