    Study Title:

    Perceptions and Experiences of Food Insecurity in Patients & Their Informal Caregivers Post Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant

    Objective:

    The primary aim is to explore and better understand perceptions of food insecurity of patients and their informal caregivers post-allogeneic stem cell transplant (allo-SCT) to help guide meaningful interventions. The secondary aim is to assess the relationship of food insecurity and the quality of life of these patients related to physical, psychological, and social functions.

  • Inclusion Criteria

      Key Inclusion Criteria:
    • Outpatient established in Moffitt’s BMT Clinic
    • 60 (+7) days post allo-SCT (30 days post hospital discharge)
    • Follow-up appointment attendance by informal caregiver
    • Able to read, speak, and understand the English language
    • Age 18 years and older
  • Exclusion Criteria

      Key Exclusion Criteria:
    • Pre-stem cell transplant
    • Autologous stem cell transplant
    • Cognitively and/or psychologically impaired
