Moffitt Cancer Center’s newest clinic in Ruskin is not only taking shape from an exterior perspective, but walls, radiology suites, stairways and more are now visible inside.
Moffitt at Southshore is a 75,000-square-foot facility at 2709 E. College Ave. in Ruskin that sits on 9 acres. Inside, 18 exam room, 22 infusion bays, four radiation oncology exam rooms and a robust radiology suite of technology will be ready to serve patients in January 2025.
Here is a look at some of the construction progress within Moffitt at SouthShore as of Aug. 12.
The Exterior of Moffitt at SouthShore
Moffitt's logo is installed on the exterior of the new SouthShore Clinic scheduled to open in January 2025.
The Entrance to Moffitt at SouthShore
While there will not be a valet service at Moffitt at SouthShore, the entryway will provide shelter over the patient drop-off area.
The Main Stairway
A large stairway will welcome visitors to Moffitt at SouthShore when they enter the lobby.
Moffitt at SouthShore Elevators
Two elevators will assist patients and caregivers to the second floor of Moffitt at SouthShore.
Moffitt at SouthShore's check-in desk
Moffitt team members will be ready to greet patients and their families at check-in desks on-site.
3 feet of Concrete
Three feet of concrete encase the radiology machinery to be installed at Moffitt at SouthShore.
The MRI Entryway
A large door will allow patients and staff to easily access the MRI suites at Moffitt at SouthShore.
Moffitt at SouthShore's Second Floor
The covered area will be where the main stairway from the first-floor lobby will enter the second floor - complete with a wall of windows providing a stunning view outside.
An Infusion Bay
What will soon be an infusion bay for patients receiving chemotherapy is under construction at Moffitt at SouthShore.
Moffitt at Southshore Pharmacy
Moffitt at SouthShore will have its own pharmacy on the second floor, where Moffitt team members will prepare medications for patients.
