FSU Football Standout Brings Strength and Hope to Moffitt
Florida State University senior offensive lineman Richie Leonard IV is no stranger to accomplishments. He was recently named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, which recognizes college football players and student staff who go above and beyond to make a difference off the field. Richie became the ninth player in FSU program history to earn this honor.

Richie Lenoard IV was inspired by his mother's breast cancer journey to distribute care packages to patients.
Inspired by his mother, Prishonda Leonard, Richie is passionate about community service. On Oct. 24, the duo visited the Moffitt McKinley Outpatient Center to distribute care packages to patients undergoing treatment. Prishonda is a breast cancer survivor, who was treated at Moffitt in 2021.
Armed with pink bags, Seminoles shirts and plenty of accessories, the Leonard family brought warmth and positivity to the breast clinic and infusion floors. Richie greeted patients with a smile before proudly introducing his mom, who shared her own story of strength, survival and hope. Together, they listened, laughed and shed tears with patients who found comfort in their words and presence.
