Dr. Tarasova went on to complete an Interdisciplinary Medical Thyroid Cancer Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and the Global Clinical Scholars Research Training (GCSRT) Program at Harvard Medical School in Boston.
Her clinical interests focus on thyroid neoplasms, particularly the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of thyroid carcinoma—from low-risk to advanced, progressive forms. She is a key member of the multidisciplinary team managing patients with thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer. Her research interests include the role of molecular markers in diagnosing and determining the prognosis of thyroid neoplasms, risk stratification in thyroid cancer, and the development of tools to estimate prognosis and guide clinical management.
Dr. Tarasova serves as the Program Director for the Endocrine Oncology Fellowship and as the Moffitt site director for the University of South Florida’s Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Fellowship. She has been recognized as one of Tampa Bay’s Top Endocrinologists since 2022.
