    Dr. Ashley Lui is a postdoctoral research fellow specializing in RNA Therapeutics in p53-mutated cancers in Dr. Elsa Flores' lab in the Department of Molecular Oncology. Dr. Lui was awarded the 2025-27 Dr. Robert C. Knapp Fellowship for ovarian cancer research to study RNA Therapeutics and nanoparticle delivery in high-grade serous ovarian cancer. Dr. Lui is also part of Team 4 for the Integrated Program in Cancer and Data Science T32 program at Moffitt, where she is additionally mentored for bioinformatics and biostatistics by Dr. Paul Stewart (University of Utah). Dr. Lui graduated with her Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in 2012, with majors in biochemistry and secondary science and math education. She received her Master of Science (2019) and doctorate (2022) at the University of South Florida in Biomedical Sciences in the Department of Molecular Medicine. Her current projects use genetically engineered mouse models to study lung cancer and generating patient xenograft models to study other mutant p53 cancers.
