Overview
Dr. Jaime Garzon Serrano earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga School of Medicine in Santander, Colombia. He completed a clinical anesthesia residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, followed by a fellowship in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Management at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He also completed the Davidson Fellowship for Entrepreneurs in Digital Health at Henry Ford Hospital.
Most recently, Dr. Garzon Serrano served as a Staff Anesthesiologist at Henry Ford Hospital and held faculty appointments as Clinical Assistant Professor at both Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids.
His clinical interests center on multimodal pain management strategies that minimize opioid use throughout the perioperative period, with a particular focus on urologic and breast cancer surgery. His primary research interest involves the application of regional anesthetic techniques to improve pain control, enhance patient satisfaction, and optimize surgical outcomes.
