Overview
Dr. Rizwan Aslam is a Senior Member in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr. Aslam received his MD degree from The University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He completed a clinical fellowship in abdominal imaging at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Aslam joins us from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he was a Professor, Department of Diagnostic Imaging, and the Medical Director for MD Anderson’s West Houston Outpatient Imaging Center. Dr. Aslam’s clinical interests include oncologic imaging for the early diagnosis of cancer and subsequent treatment with a focus on imaging of the pancreas, liver, and colon. His research interests are in virtual colonoscopy for colon screening, novel contrast agents to aid liver imaging and utilization of 3D reconstructions to aid pancreatic cancer detection and surgical planning.
