Advisory Boards
The Office of Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) fosters exchange of information between community stakeholders and Moffitt faculty through two Advisory Boards that represent the two populations Moffitt serves (community-focused and patient-focused). The boards were established in 2005, meet quarterly, and provide opportunities for faculty and community to engage with each other in a community setting or at Moffitt.

Tampa Bay Community Cancer Network (TBCCN)
- 33 partner organizations representing various sectors of the community (e.g., social service, faith-based, adult education, community clinics, federally qualified health centers).
- Developed to tackle key challenges in cancer-related access, prevention, and disease control among populations facing medical, literacy, and economic barriers.
- During quarterly meetings, community members offer input on research priorities and provide feedback on study materials, recruitment, and dissemination.

Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC)
- Developed by Moffitt Leadership to improve the quality, safety and patient experience.
- PFAC's role includes feedback and engagement on clinical research and outreach focused on Moffitt patients and survivors.
- One of the first NCI Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the U.S. to formalize an advisory group of center administrators, faculty, clinicians, patients and/or caregiver advisors.
- Workgroups and committees across Moffitt work together to evaluate and improve existing programs, plan for new services, and deliver the best care possible.
- The PFAC is dedicated to growing Moffitt collaborations with patients and family members.
