Health Disparities Grand Rounds
The Health Disparities Semi-Annual Grand Rounds Series hosted by the Office of COE at Moffitt Cancer Center invites subject matter experts in health disparities to share their insights and innovative solutions to reduce and eliminate health disparities in cancer research, care, and/or community outreach. The series will focus on topics such as engaging local communities, increasing underrepresented patient accrual to clinical trials and maintaining responsibilities to catchment areas. The series aims to equip attendees with knowledge and strategies to reduce health disparities and create a venue to promote the exchange of ideas and foster collaborations to advance cancer health disparities research at Moffitt Cancer Center.
The target audience for this series includes researchers, trainees, and healthcare professionals at Moffitt Cancer Center interested in health disparities in cancer care. Interested community members (e.g., TBCCN or SCORE partners) will also be invited to attend. By equipping attendees with practical solutions, the series hopes to reduce health disparities, promote equal access to all in cancer care and research, and increase community engagement as it relates to high-quality cancer care.
