The division of Basic Science is proud to host a series of opportunities that engage colleagues from partnering universities, community members and potential donors in the fight for the prevention and cure of cancer. Check back often to stay connected with the latest happenings - and we hope to see you at one of our next events!
Conferencing and Community Engagement Opportunities
Immuno-Oncology Retreat
Members of the Immuno-Oncology Program hosted an engaging event featuring compelling talks and a poster session during the day and a fun dinner cruise in the evening.
Patient Researcher Forum
The Patient Researcher Forum connects patients with researchers at Moffitt. A key to the program’s success is the close integration of clinical, translational and basic scientists who help bring novel therapies from their labs directly to the patient.
Basic Science Grand Rounds
The Basic Science Grand Rounds lecture series hosts over 25 academic speakers a year from all over the world to showcase transformative, cutting-edge work in their respective fields.
The series also allows current Moffitt trainees and students to network with speakers to learn more in a private setting. For more information or if you are interested in participating, please contact Kristen Gilpin at basicsciprograms@moffitt.org.
Research and Science In Progress
Moffitt strongly supports collaboration and the opportunity to let our trainees shine! Please take a moment to explore each department's Research In Progress series for a sneak peek at some of the work being done here in Basic Science.
Division Chalk Talks
Practice makes perfect – and so does collegial feedback. Join us for our monthly faculty chalk talk sessions to help our scientists prepare project aims for better science and improved grant submissions.
Team Culture and Fun
We foster team building within Basic Science at all levels. Join us for several events throughout the year including:
